Thanks to a neighbor, this year's crop of ducklings will not meet the same fate as most of last year's. They have moved to a ranch to live on a pond! On July 24th they were rounded up and taken to their new home. Unfortunately Momma Duck flew away, eluding capture, so she is not with them, but they were getting to be big and self-sufficient.

These photos were taken on July 11, and they were already good at moving through the grass to find food and finding cool places to rest. So we wish them all the best in their new home. The next question is, will there be another brood or has Momma had enough for this year?
